To Whom It May Concern,

“My name is Katlyn Grubb. I am the grand daughter of Les Hirdes the 1963 Team Roping World Champion. Yesterday on May 5, 2008 my grandma Fran Hirdes’ home in Turlock, California was broken into and burglarized. Many valuable things were taken including jewelry and such, but nothing more valuable than my grandpa’s trophy saddles. If you are familiar with Les you may know that he did pass away some years ago, so the two saddles that were stolen are more than just saddles but family jewels to us. The two saddles stolen were his 1983 Pot of Gold Saddle and his 1963 RCA Team Roping World Champion Saddle.   Hopefully someone out there might hear about them and possibly see the saddles out on the street or being used they might be able to make it back home to us.”
